The Three Must Haves for Content Creators (and they’re all FREE)

There are so many tools out there to help you out when you’re creating content for social media- a lot. I know, because I’m always trying the new ones.

But if I’m being honest, there are three apps that I come back to time and time again because I haven’t found anything else that compares! Plus you can’t beat the price 😉

Now, I know that this is three must haves for content creators, but honestly it works for anyone who just wants to create fun things for social media. Alright, ready? Let’s chat apps!

Must Have App #1 – Canva

From the second I found out about Canva*, I’ve been hooked. My brother is a big adobe fan, and hard core judges my love of Canva, but I honestly don’t even care. Canva is user-friendly and has so many ready to use templates, all you have to do is customize them to your brand colors and designs. There are definitely perks to a pro version, but they offer so much for free, that if you are on a tight budget, this is the way to go! 🙂 P.s. when it comes to Canva templates, I’ll be sharing some designs soon, so keep your eyes posted for that. My hope is that they will help take the stress out of the social media creation for ya!

Must Have App #2 – Pinterest

Yup, you read that right! Chances are that you already have this app downloaded to your phone, so let me tell you how to use it for content creation. INSPIRATION! You can always use google, but a lot of people (myself included) head to Pinterest to do a quick search on something I’m looking for. Whether it’s an outfit idea, trip itineraries, recipes, or even posing ideas- you can search it all on Pinterest and get inspiration. Bonus, I highly recommend posting your content on Pinterest. I don’t know all the ins and outs of it yet, but let’s just say that in less than a month, posting once a week, I gained over a hundred followers. Crazy right?! Must Have App #3 – VSCO

There has been a lot of back and forth on how to say this app’s name and I still don’t know which is the right way (I just say every letter 😜). I’ve suggested this app to all my friends who want to add filters to their images and want them to look the same but they have no idea where to start. This one has a $20 yearly fee that I pay because you get access to so many additional filters, however, the free version still has quite a few and it’s honestly so easy to use! Now, people are saying that the days of aesthetic feeds are over, and that may be true. But I’m a sucker for a cohesive look and so I will stick with using my filters, please and thank you!

Okay, that’s it! Those are my three must haves for social media creation. Tell me, did you already have these three? What other apps do you tell others all about? I’d love to know in the comments below!

All the best,

j
